Japanese law twins are generally very rare. In fact they should called French law twins, as they were discovered in 1829 by a German mineralogist at La Gardette in France. Caused by the mayor discoveries on Honshu island around 1900 they got their name. Meanwhile samples from Nepal are probably the best. But now there is this unique discovery on Madagascar - Japanse law twins with amethyste color and in fantastic quality; lusterous and waterclear!

A huge and intense yellow crystal of ettringite. A significant specimen of this rare, lemon yellow species from the Kalahari Manganese Fields.This is simply a color saturation we do not often see in nature, and it is a huge crystal as well; the photo speaks for the impact value!

This rare member of the Mckelveyite group was named after Sir William Edmond Logan, who founder the Geological Survey of Canada! This well formed cluster is even set on matrix. It comes from the only relevant locality for this rare species. Much more 3-dimensional than shown on the picture.

Prismatic group of columnar crystals of witherite in exceptional dimension and very fine quality. Usually these crystals are dull, here we have wonderful satiny luster on the stepped faces.

Very translucent emerals green crystals with dark violet zonings along some edges. The assemble is very aesthetic and show a nice contrast to light muscovite. Ex Robert Brandstetter coll.

Rare sample of rhodochrosite from Potosi mine, the isolated and exposed crystal is 17 mm; it shows waxy luster and sharp terminations in union with light red color. The contrast to dark manganese matrix gives a great visual impact to the specimen. No significant damages to report.

A sharp terminated, complete twin! It shows a very good clarity, light yellow color and highly lustrous faces.
